Hand and foot trauma

Refers to a condition in which a person has undeveloped fingers and toes, remains below the normal size or in an immature state.

Ectrodactyly

Refers to a condition characterized by absence of one or more of the fingers or toes. It affects about 1 in 90,000 births with males and females equally as likely to be affected.

Macrodactyly

Refers to a congenital condition in which a baby is born with abnormally large fingers or toes due to an overgrowth of the underlying bones and soft tissue. It occurs more often in hands than feet and it isn't inherited.
